Back Button
January 22nd, 2020
I seem to have an issue with using the back or previous page button on my browser on the site after I have searched for a topic.
This only happens if I search for a topic and then click into the topic. If I try to return to the results, I get: Webpage has expired
Most likely cause:
•The local copy of this webpage is out of date, and the website requires that you download it again.
Going back and forth on the rest of the site works flawlessly.
I remember this happened once a long time ago and then it was fixed. Is this an issue on the site or my computer?
TIA
You could try opening the link to the topic in a new browser. This would keep your search page open.
That is a lame suggestion. We all want a fix to this annoying glitch, not a bandaid.

Its a site thing, and it as bloody annoying, but the only thing to do is right click on a link for whatever and open in a new tab/window.
@, there are more important issues to be concerned about on here and in your little world.
HTTPS has a very low time allowed for sessions. This is a security feature.
Maybe Firefox could be modified to lengthen the time?
Maybe Firefox could be modified to lengthen the time?
I know you can alter the amount of data stored and where it is stored(HDD or RAM) in about:config, I’m sure there is nothing to amend the timescale though and especially differentiating between HTTP and HTTPS, might be worth submitting feedback though (although I use Waterfox).
There is no direct way to alter this behavior the easy way(about:config) but there are extensive source code modifications to be done…
