Assuming my hard drive is screwed yeah?
August 9th, 2016
When connected internally, it won’t get past the first screen, so I tried connecting it with an external bit, after unplugging it quite a few times, the computer FINALLY recognized it, but wouldn’t show up in my computer, so I opened disk management, and it asked me to initialize it, so I tried to, but it’s write protected because of the Western Digital program. So I loaded it, but obviously it wouldn’t recognize the drive so I couldn’t remove the protection, so then I tried opening up regedit and changing the write protection in there, but what do you know, it doesn’t show up in devices list. So it be broke. Also, it makes some seedy sounds :L
Any suggestions, or just throw it away?
Cheers.
bad sectors / broken
So I have a spare 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green laying around, and tried to connect it, but having troubles. It's SATA btw.

The only way I can try that, is having the hard drive plugged into the external bit, and it probably won’t work anyway, so screw it. Was just a spare anyway. Thanks a ton guys
