Anyone know about graphic tablets?
March 17th, 2014
Not like and ipad or a samsung tablet etc.
An actual tablet for the computer which you can use to navigate around the computer and draw etc.
If anyone knows about tablets please help me make a decision.
So far i’ve been looking at the wacom bamboo fun tablet which seems pretty decent.
I have got a fairly old (3 years) Wacom Bamboo, and I love it.

The Bamboo fun has the extras such as a mouse and you can erase “on the fly”
They are great for digital photo editing. I would say one thing though, it takes quite a while to get used to using one. Depending on your budget, and what you are going to be using it for will ultimately make the decsion for you.
I have had an Aiptek one in the past, and that was totally useless.

Wacom is definitely the way to go. Check out the Intuos.

another for wacom here… lol. BUT there are some a lot cheaper becouse wacom is expensive. So if you are not a pro try brands like “trust”.
I picked up a Wacom Bamboo for £30. I don’t use it that often but when I do it’s useful when using Photoshop. It has an eraser on the end of the pen which was included in the price. For the money, it was well worth it.
which type of wacom do you guys have? i was looking at the intuos and the bamboo. Which one are better for drawing and sketching? Photoshop etc.. and my budget is around $300
If you don’t draw or sketch let me know what type of tablet you have and what you use it for. thanks

Intuos > Bamboo
The Intuos 3 + 4 are more a professional graphic tablet, with a much larger area (9″x12″) – perhaps you can pick up a cheap second hand one on Flea-bay ?
yea i might thanks man. im looking into the intuos4 small.. but it doesn’t have expresskey illuminated display.. i need to do more reserach to see if i need it
To be honest, get the bamboo first. Get known to how it works, get used to it, afterwards you can still buy a more expensive model.

If you are serious about design, there are many noticeable differences in the Intuos and Bamboo.
Most noticeably is the pressure and sensitivity levels as well as the pen tilt level and accuracy. Bamboo does not support tilt, so its always straight down.
Look up the features and compare them before purchasing. Also size will effect more than just drawing area, it also effects the way your hand and wrist sit on the device, which can adversely effect some people.
As mentioned above, there are cheaper brands available, but if you want the best, go with Wacom Intuos.
yea i just borrowed a bamboo from a friend i think i can spend the extra $$ for a intuos
