Android Tablets For Children & Learning
as title says “Android Tablets For Children & Learning”
I’m looking for Android Tablets For Children & Learning
looking for a Tablets that runs apps like MS Office Although there are rumors about Microsoft developing an Android version of Office 2015, nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft yet. Your only option to use Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint is to purchase a 3rd party app.
So i was looking for some apps for kids to use Tablets for learning
“spelling, math, songs, learning words, places,……
ages 2+
not to keen on the Disney apps,
using things like MS word, basic things like that that for Children to use to type words, pick correct words, letters or numbers, find the missing number, counting more then 10 (around to 100 is possible)
if you have or have seen and maybe used these apps on Tablets
i would appreciate your help community

I have not tried these apps myself, but they’ve got good reviews as apps for children.

In my opinion There is no such thing as a Kids Tablet those that claim are just more expensive inferior devices with cheap nasty hardware ie. Chips, Ram, and they can be Resistive rather than Capacitive touch screens. Was going to buy even did buy a kids touch screen device for my son aged 5/6 and it was crap really slow and unresponsive at times because of cheap hardware. Trust me normal Touch devices ie. Tablets like the Nexus 7 priced at 199 are the best to get OMG my son aged 8 uses an Xoom 10inch Capacitive tablet I have and no longer use till I purchase the new Nexus 7 which is totally safe for him to use because I can lock him out of purchasing apps with a password I totally trust him and ensure he is safeguarded by installing an Antivirus app etc. etc. Trust me Kids devices are cheap and nasty cheap meaning parts hardware and can be more expensive than normal tablets….
P.S
MS word for 2+ not so good…

my client has a 2 year an a half old boy who can spell words like
millionaire, experience, congratulations,& small word like boy, food,……
he can count to 40
knows shapes like cube, rhombus , and colors
so right now he is using MS word n excel and typing out words after you ask him to spell them (so not so sure word is that bad!!!)
so rather then the boy on the PC computer, was looking for something him could give him to use in car n school maybe.
many thanks for the feed backs guys

well tablets with android 4.2 have the ability to setup “restricted profiles” in the user accounts. Within that section you can specifically allow WHICH app the user can access on a PER USER basis. So you can get a standard all the bell’s and whistles tablet and just setup a restricted profile within it. Install the apps you want, games you want and tick a box next to the app(s) the profile will be alowed to use.

That’s always been the case! plus the hardware is usually better and the device about 4x cheaper, and in case you want to install aps from a site like this one you dont have to “jailbreak” the device like you have to with iOS. All it takes to install aps from a site like this one is to “go to to settings > tick the box next to “allow aps from unknown sources” “, and you’re done. no complicated wired or wireless tethering jailbreaking. A simple checkbox is all it takes.
The new nexus 7 is FAST, cheap and very quick & smooth to use. Plus with any nexus device you’re guaranteed you will always have the latest version the fastest (compared to android devices like asus, samsung, LG G2, …) that use their own skin. Google “owns” android, so when a new version pops out the nexus line is pretty much the 1st in line to receive them (and not 3-6months down the line)
