Antivirus programs – Need help deciding!
August 7th, 2016
I am using Windows 8. I have my trusty Malwarebytes [PRO] downloaded which i use alot and love.
I heard great things about Comodo Firewall so that is what i am using over the standard Windows 8 firewall.
And i also have advanced system care Pro version for tune up/registry cleaing etc. Perhaps you guys use something that’s superior in cleaning/tune up power?
Now to discuss Antiviruses. There are so many diffrent options out there, cracked or free. Sure i can go look up the statistic and do a normal google search on what’s best but the best arent always free or possible to obtain a cracked version. AVG and Avast for example are crackable but just beacuse i can obtain a pro version does not make it superior to some free versions out there, correct me if i am wrong i am not really tech savy.
So far ive considered getting bitdefender free version, because i dont think their is a cracked version out and about?
Anyways, what antiviruses do you guys use? which one is the best when it comes to protecting your computer do you think?
I welcome all suggestions!
to cut a long story short, i recommend avg antivirus, the best i have tested over many years.
bitdefender could be my no.2
for cleaning , i use ccleaner, and WinUtilities, and disk cleanup, that comes with windows accessories, that’s all you need, trust me,,
There are many magazines doing AV tests.
One I read recently said that Kaspersky and ESet were the best – AV results and speed.
The free ones were considered decent, with AVG and Avast and Microshaft Defender about equal, +/- a few points between them, were decent ones.
CCleaner for cleaning up reg and unused file bits, privacy cleaning.
Malware bytes AM for extra checking – use it with an AV.
ANTI-MALWARE: ESET Smart Security v7.0.302.26
SYSTEM TUNING: CCleaner Professional Edition v4.11.4619
– exactly what i;m using.. great minds think alike.
I recommend Eset antivirus and Advanced System Optimizer for cleaning.
Alrighty thanks guys, got some great suggestions!
Anyone know of a good Free VPN? all purpose use.
Just go with ESET NOD32 antivirus if you just want a simple tool that doesn’t consume much resources, otherwise ESET Smart Security. It’s fairly easy to keep it updated since you just copy trial license keys that are available online in several sites.
BitDefender and AVG are also good choices but from my experience, ESET is the way to go.
