Anti Virus.

I’m looking for a anti virus that is friendly on my Windows Vista 64bit machine. I like Kaspersky but I didn’t like the anoying nag message about threats/trojans with no option to remove them. I like Nod32 I have it on my 32bit machine but I cant seem to get it working any real way on my 64bit machine.
I’m asking for names of both a Friendly anti virus with/without a firewall I’m not picky. I don’t want to chase user names/passwords or anything like that

which version of nod32 were you using? you need the x64 version, the x86 woult work at all

I’ve tried nod32 64bit business and a few others the cracks for them were all crap or I need a user / pass also I don’t know.
I would prefer getting a version of Nod32 if I could find one that worked.

for all of the nod32s that i have used, you need to periodicly change the username/password for it to keep updating

try Avira Antivir,

it’s free so you don’t have to bother with searching for patches to make it works. The only con: it comes with neither a firewall nor spyware protection.
As for being Friendly, every antivirus will occasionally have problems with certain files, but you can however tell Avira to ignore a virus detection if you really trust the file.

Thank you everyone, I did get Nod32 working It was actually my UAC that was preventing the patches from working disabled rebooted and it works fine! Thank you so much everyone!
