Alternatives to Image Grabber II

I’m lookin to improve my upload posts with some screen caps. From reading the tutes and google searching Image Grabber II is the way to go.
But I’ve been unable to get the standard or .Net version to work with XP SP2 with an AMd 5600+, 3gigs Geil & running Geforce 7600gs + 8500gt.
I get various errors or just audio with no video.
Reccomendations on alternative apps to make some of those snazzy multi-image screen caps would be sweet.
Or perhaps some nice tricky way to get Image Grabber to work
