2D to 3D conversion problem
January 22nd, 2020
I just purchased LG 3DTV, had downloaded a few 3D movies, now, I want to convert episodes of a few non 3D serials like Gotham into 3D, and I am using Xilisoft Converter for that. I know, there is a loss of quality while converting but I am not enhancing them in any way.
The problem, I am facing that whenever I convert a 1280×720 or 1920×1080 videos, the resultant files have 2560×720 or 3840×1080 dimensions and then become unplayable.
Please advise me as to mistakes I am doing while converting.
Thanking in advance.
If you play them on your PC, what do you see….Do you get two pictures side by side (SxS) ?
If you do, then it looks like the pics are not getting squeezed together so they have an overall size of 16:9 (1920×1080)
In both pics the people should look tall and skinny ( I have downloaded 3D movies and they look like that)…..The TV can then convert this into one normal aspect ratio 3d picture.
There should be a setting in your converter to give the output you want….or try DVDFab.

Mind you, a lot of TVs should be able to handle that very high res, especially from a Bluray player..
Now, it says here that your LG TV should be able to convert 2D to 3D all by itself..

For watching these 3D videos, I connect my 80 GB Maxtor Portable directly to the 3D TV, but when I open the directory consisting the 3D video having such dimensions as 2560×720, it shows that the video file as invalid.
I will try DVDFab now, and will post the result, hoping the converted file will have the same dimensions as the default file.
There is a setting in Xilisoft Converter which squeezes a video and keep the same dimensions. Converted a small 5 minute video with it and it was perfect. Thanks .
