Deleting Files

Hello. I’m having some trouble with a couple of movies. They lie in my folder called “Downloads” – The problem is that I can’t delete them again. Everytime I try, it just says something like this: “Unable to delete because the file is open with Windows Pathfinder”
Is there anyone out there who knows what I can do? Would be a great help
