Resetting IP in Vista

Hi, I used to use XP where you could go into command prompt type “ipconfig /release” and change some things in the network connections (change to USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS random, then switching back to automatic) and you could download from rapidshare as if you had a new ip. Now I tried the same with Vista and it doesn’t work, I think it has something to do with the IPv6 but what do I know. Does anyone know of doing a similar thing in vista?

Yeah, what i know is just switch “off” your modem of few seconds and then switch it “on”… when do so… try to delete all cookies
as i am using vista too.
