Flash Drives Work Very Slow On My Pc?

Flash drives work very slow on my pc.The process of copy paste is very slow and my sick of it.in early years its work like a charm but now its very slow.
is there any way to make it fast as it works before?

You can try defragging it.

you could try reinstalling your chipset drivers
if you expand the USB section of device mgr is “enhanced” there for one of your controlers
that indicates hispeed USB

Is your computer old? It could still be on USB 1.1. You could benefit from buying a USB 2.0 card.

If it worked faster before, it’s not a usb 1.1/2,0 problem.
If the flash is older than about 3 yrs, it could be wearing out (flash memory cells do wear out).
Try a new drive, they’re cheap as chips now..

i have many drives including two new ones also but all working like a dead.

change settings on your antivirus lately?
