What does this error mean ?

January 23rd, 2020

2 days ago when I woke up I saw my computer saying “DISK BOOT FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISK” on the screen.I had left it open to download the night before. So I restarted the computer and it was fine.Yesterday it happened again.I couldn’t see it shutting down or restarting in either situations but the only thing I know that I left it open and “running”.
Also, after restart it says “start windows normally” or “start in safe mode” etc, so it is clear that my PC does not shut down properly.
I am using:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010
Internet Download Manager 1.18
What do you think ? My HDD is HD SEAGATE 400GB 7200 RPM 16MB SATA2 NCQ.
Is it its time ? Should I get a new one ? Or is there a solution to this ?

Answer #1
i think u will get as same problem as me after this..chek my thread http://www.google.com?t=4284905
Answer #2
this could be caused by a loose hard drive connection. open you case and check that the data cable connection your hard drive to your motherboard is securly inserted.
Answer #3
But that’s hardly possible, after I reset the computer it works perfectly..
This really doesn’t make sense, and if I can’t figure out what it is, I will have to buy a new hard drive.

Get HIREN’S BOOT CD and run the HDD REGENERATOR, you might have some bad sectors on the HDD

Thanks for your effort mate, I’ve scanned it as you said but there are no bad sectors.I still couldn’t figure out why would this be.
Today I was surfing on the net and suddenly Firefox stopped responding, but Windows Live Messenger was fine. But then the Task Manager wouldn’t open and none of the other Windows Explorer commands responded. Then I resetted my PC and it said again, “Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk And Press Enter”.
I resetted it again and it was fine. What the hell is this ? There should be a solution..

My computer asks me to start windows normally (In win 7) if i use the power button. on my case.
Answer #7
was win 7 installed as an upgrade? did you have any previous OS on this disk?
Answer #8
No, I totally swept the HDD, it was unallocated as a whole, then I formatted it as NTFS and Installed Windows 7.
More and more I’m starting to think this is not a software, but a hardware problem, but I’m still wide open to any ideas.
And again, thanks for all your efforts.
Answer #9
