STRANGLEHOLD playing problem

Friends i am having a serious with playing STRANGLEHOLD
my PC con fig —
3600+ AMD X2
1GB DDR2
7600GT
17″ LG FLATIRON
WIN XP SP 2
162.18 nvidia driver
latest DX9C
i have installed the STRANGLEHOLD game smoothly
and pasted the crack correctly
then I am running the game with the main exe file. The game start to the main menu
but, when i am going to run the NEW GAME option it starts loading
then the loading stops and shows nothing. When i try to press ESC or ENTER then my monitor display goes off but there is no problem with my monitor and power is coming on the monitor and my PC is also not hanged then i have to reset my PC
please help me
how to solve it : : i am a great fan of Stranglehold

The problem is you will need another 1gb of ram, this happened to me
having only 1 gb. You will need 2gb of ram and it will work fine.

I too get same error. Mine doesn’t load to menu either but just after the startup videos.
Something like Direct3dshadervalidatorcreate file name not found etc..
This general protection fault is related to a call for memory address that is already occupied and is primarily a programming error and might occur due to shortage of memory.
I had same error in Half-life 2 with 256mb ram initially then with 1 gb and a gfx card got that very rarely.
This might occur for video memory too.

and yes it is an xp error…many guyz had same problem in xp and shifting to vista did the trick.

Dont know if they have written this all wrong and mean that this is the recommended system req but as i said this is directly from the official forum. so NO, vista would not solve the problem its your graphic card and pc!

thats thinkable….
i was thinking that i have 1gig Ram.i have to by another 1gig so than it should work (should work in 2gb ram)

First off, when you buy another extra ram, make sure its exactly the same one as the old one, dont buy a faster and run your old with it, it just makes it slower like the old one. If your motherboard support DDR2, i would suggest you buy Corsair XMS PC6400 @ 800mhz. You can get 2GB of them for like 85$.
Second, your graphic cant run this game, im pretty sure it cant. The game is big, and hungry, so you will need more ram + better graphic card. If you dont have the biggest budget to spend, i would suggest an ATI Radeon X1950 PRO, it costs around 120$.
Im playing the game fine with theese specs:
AMD 64 X2 6000+ (3ghz)
2GB DDR2 RAM – Corsair XMS PC6400 @ 800 Mhz CL4
ATI Radeon X1950 (with ASUS chipset, called ASUS X1950PRO).
Im almost playing at highest graphic avaible.

i know i m a bit late, yesterday i played this game and i liked it, i was using Windows Crystal Xp. I did a format and i installed windows xp black eidition, i did the same like yesterday but it didnt work, i think it’s a windows problem
