Answer #1
anyone?
Please do not double post - Use the edit button next time - sarkar
Answer #2
yeah man offcourse they will work:D,
are u gonna build one with these parts?
Answer #3
Yeah I think so yeah,
Okay good, just needed to make sure I didn’t took like wrong ram to wrong motherboard or something like that.
Answer #4
fast hard drives (>10000rpm) will make a lot of noise and aren’t worthy for home purposes.
It looks like you’ll build up a game-pc, you could buy 2 hdd’s (with 7200rpm), and use one for the system and the other one for installed games.
Then you also will have speed and even more space for less money.
greetings
Answer #5
Ahh Thanks for the idea, Any more tips?
Answer #6
i’m not sure but with that sorta spec you might want a 1000W power supply.
I know that my setup is slightly less advanced as yours and i have a 1000W power supply. Prebuilt by www.overclockers.co.uk
Answer #7
1000W aren’t needed by these components…
Answer #8
So my 850W should be able to handle the parts?
Answer #9
yes – your power supply has 25A on the 12V lines – that should be enough
Answer #10
Yes, the parts are more than compatible, 600 watts+ is far enough for a build like that.
Answer #11
Tbh you should spend less on the PSU and spend the rest on an aftermarket CPU cooler or something. 850W is crazy. Your system will run fine on a good 500W PSU
Answer #12
and look for 800Mhz CL4 or 1066Mhz CL5 “performance” memory
won’t be that much more and it will be faster
Samsung DVD-Player
and that’s the 22x burner, or you just want a player
Answer #13
Yes, the parts are more than compatible, 600 watts+ is far enough for a build like that.
I agree, 850 Watts is totally unnecessary. A good quality 520watt PSU such as the Corsair 520HX would be more than enough for that system. Enter everything you have into this webpage and it will recommend the type of size you need.
http://www.corsairmemory.com/psufinder/default.aspx
An Extremely overclocked Core 2 Quad and an Overlocked GTX260 and 2 hard drives and the site above recommends a 520 watt PSU. Not overclocked and it recommends a 450. Those sizes are still being very generous IMO.
I don’t know why you want a nForce chipset though as they went down hill fast after nForce 2 IMO.

lmao@1000 Watt PSU
I entered 3 of the video cards that he wants and an overclocked CPU and the above link only then recommended a 1000 Watt PSU.
Answer #14
Yeah not to mention you wouldn’t want to look at your electricity bill after buying one of those 1KW factories

It would not make that big a difference to his electricity bill unless it was being used and with his intend system it would not. But it would be more inefficient drawing such a small fraction of it’s capacity. With a more ideal PSU the efficiency when his intended system was idling would be higher than with a large 1KW PSU.

So I should use a 500-600W then

Samsung DVD-Player
and that's the 22x burner, or you just want a player

it’s the player

I don't know why you want a nForce chipset though as they went down hill fast after nForce 2 IMO.

What motherboard do you recommend then?
Answer #17
well theres better out there. Maybe Asus P5Q series

I got a budget on 1800 us dollars, could someone build a good gaming computers with that budget instead since I’m not so good with computer parts?

Keep the 780i FTW mother board. Maybe get the Q9550, 2 GTX280s in sli, get an Artic 7 cooler for the cpu so you can oc, 4 gb 1066mhz ram ddr2 and you’d be set. Maybe get 2 raptors and set up raid.

Okay, which website is that screenshot from and will the gfx card be able to handle almost all games on high quailty like crysis on the highest?
Answer #23
a 650w psu is enough, and i would suggest more HD space?
Answer #24
well the products are from newegg. It will handle the latest at high quality, and i dont see why he needs more HDD space. 1 TB is plenty

~nevermind~
Answer #27
Uber Leet are you making some kind of behemoth gaming machine look at the price sticker on that case. That thing is frikking expensive. Over 500$. I think that’s one of the most expensive towers that’s being made atm next to the top of the line Lian Li Armorsuit. Damn I’ll try to pick up some stuff. Please hold on while I gather some things.
Image
There’s some promo codes on a couple of those parts so you might want to enter them. Also you can buy two of those HDDs if you want if you think 1TB wont fill your demands. You can get the regular and get a regular 4870 1GB. I only put the X2 since you got enough cash for it. The regular version will still eat up Crysis and Far Cry 2

I was thinking of an Intel Chipset motherboard which is now what you have listed. The P45 is a new mid end chipset but should work fairly well with the graphics card being ATI as Intel chipsets support dual ATI graphics cards but nVidia chipsets only support dual nVidia cards. That is unless you get some modified drivers to allow dual cards on other chipsets. That is if you ever decide to add another video card. Do you need dual ethernet? Do you need to network your PC’s or use 2 broadband connections? I don’t know where you intend shopping for the parts or what sales tax rate you pay in Sweden as that is something to consider as it will add to the price. Some European countries pay higher sales tax levels. It is 17.5% in the UK but can get much higher in Europe. I don’t think you can order from Newegg as they will not ship outside the USA/Canada, they didn’t the last time I look anyway.
Have a look at this site as they offer free delivery to many places in Europe and pay 17.5% VAT (sales tax). It would be worth searching around for the cheapest place to get stuff.
Your paying a lot for that memory I imagine as it was expensive when I looked at it. I remember it being very tall as well so it might affect access and airflow.
I have 2 Western Digital 500GB hard drives and they are pretty good but I went for Raid drives as they offered 5 year warranties for a very similar price. But the do require a program to turn off a feature if not used in a Raid array and that is not widely available and is only supplied on request. It is a command line program with a switch to disable a special Raid feature that could cause problems if used as a regular disk.

Ye thatd be perfect, and you could get an after market cooler and oc the cpu. Get the Artic 7 cooler for the CPU or something of that nature.
4870 if oc’d could get you to a GTX280 performance.

Freezer 7 Pro is crap nowadays. I remember having it myself a year ago
Xigmatek and OCZ’s new stuff is where it’s at
Answer #35
If you want perfomance you should be think of buying 2 HD’s 7200 rpm sata 2 500GB or 1TB as you like and using RAID 0.
Raid 0 will split the data between the 2 HD’s and this way it won’t stress just 1 HD on the reading, boosting some speed up for u

Little newbie question… What exactly does raid do?
Answer #37
Here take a read and check about how the RAID 0 works:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID
but in short terms there are different raid levels so you may check my previous post for a short description on raid 0 or check the wiki link for a complete catalog of options and levels
Please remember that ALL links must be coded, including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords, and internal links. Coded for you this time-glenny.
Answer #38
Nop I don't need dual ethernet,
Most motherboards these days have dual Gigabit LAN anyway so it’s not really important
What exactly does raid do?
There’s different types of RAID. In RAID 0 one byte is written to one drive and the other byte to the other etc. When reading and writing data the speed is roughly doubled. On the other hand you’ll lose all your data even if one drive fails. RAID 1 is a backup config. It makes a copy of every move you make on one drive on the other drive. Those two are the most common types

Answer #42
The reason I mentioned Dual Ethernet is that one of those motherboards you listed did look like it had dual ethernet. It can be handy especially if you network PC’s and need broadband at the same time.
I wouldn’t recommend Raid0 unless you don’t mind loosing all your data as hard drives can be very unreliable, especially if your unlucky and get a bad one.
Personally I don’t use Raid as I prefer to have all the space I can get but my drives are WD Enterprise Raid drives (WD5000YS & WD5000ABYS) largely for reliability and the much longer warranty. Seagate make some good drives and most have 5 year warranties.
If VAT is that high over there then shopping abroad might be an option to consider. The only problem with Play.com is the range is more limited than many places. But if they have it then the prices are usually fairly good.

Aftermarket cooler such as the one ^|^ listed. I use the OCZ Vendetta 2 with the Xigmatek backplate that ^|^ listed. I got the vendetta 2 from Play.com for 17.99 which I believe was incorrectly priced but they did honour it and I received it delivery free so a very good deal. Aha coolers, Alright, thanks.

As in CPU coolers, as in heatsinks, I should of made it a bit clearer.
Thinking about it I think the price might of been 24.99 rather than 27.99 so I don’t know how they mispriced it. Even 24.99 is pretty good as it includes free delivery.
