Sound problems

Hi all,
I need some help here.
I’ve recently installed a Windows xp 6 ultimate in my pc. Just trying something new. When i finish the task, i went to internet (youtube) and noticed that can’t hear a thing.I then tried with firefox and it was the same.Ican see but can’t hear.
I can see movies installed in my pc and hear music too but not from internet.
I have checked internet options-advanced-play sound…
Can anybody help me please

Download a good codec pack such as K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. You can get the latest version here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack_download.htm
Install it and see if anything changes. If nothing happens then try to update your sound drivers. Good luck mate ^_^

Thanks I did this and nothing happen.

Mine is realtek AC’97

This for XP, but applies to Vista . . . . .
Right-click My Computer
Go to the Device Tab
Check if your are missing a Sound Driver. . (You probably are)
If so, either use your Motherboard Cd to install it
Or go on the Web for the drivers for your motherboard
