Problem downloading with MAC

Hey guys,
I use a download manager (flashget) to download stuff from a single link but for some reason download wont begin or with very low speed. What should i do to solve this problem.
Any ideas?

try using idm or jdownloader then.
On a Mac try speed download.
speed is fine, but when i try to download the downloadspeed degrees or it wont begin… btw thanks for the replies
