Problem with deleting folder
January 23rd, 2020
I’m having this quite unusual problem, i’ve installed application and it automatically created me folder name Shredder on desktop. I’ve removed installed app.,also deleted it manually from registry but still the Shredder is on my desktop.
When i try to delete normally it just “ignore” it, by clicking right click i have only: open and create shortcut. Clicking on open i got the text on picture. Also tried to delete it running in safe mode but no results. Does anyone have idea?
You can try using unlocker, but i think you are infected. Use a good anti-virus to do a complete system scan.
like speedle said use unlocker…also consider “inferno” its a delete any file program and its worked for me 100%
I installed unlocker but don’t have luck. I’m using nod and it doesn’t report anything
Try booting in safemode and see if you can delete it then.
If not reinstall the program and then make sure you use the programs uninstaller.
If you still have give the name of the program and i will try it on my test pc.
If you have hijackthis in the tools section there is a delete file on boot option. Or there is a programme call moveonboot, either of them should do it.
I’ve tried in safe mode and i couldn’t delete it.
I tried also to install it again and this folder still like it is here but it is not, i can’t see it through any application for removing the “stuff”.
looks like i’m infected with this file

The link you gave also provides numerous options on dealing with this issue. I can’t see why you are still having problems.
I’ve tried everything but nothing. Apparently it was caused by installing PC Confidential, and recording to google it is malware software. Damn this one is really annoying.

Fake software….
Get Active Boot Disk ISO.
Burn it to a CD
Restart your computer and boot into Active Boot Disk.
Select Start (red shield) > Utilities > Explore My Computer
You’ll be in the Explorer. Navigate to C:\Users\(username)\Desktop
The Shredder folder should be in there. Select it and press delete.
Restart computer normally.
It should be gone from the desktop.
I’m downloading it now…One more thing
I’ve run the backtrack 4 on live disk, and i didn’t saw that file.
