Recommend me a telescope

January 24th, 2020

So, who watches the sky at night and could recommend me some telescope for home? Im very interested in stars, planets and space in general and now after mainly reading and wathching some vids and pictures, i want to finally observe space myself…
i have no idea which telescopes are good, etc., so i trust you guys…to help me find one… i have a few conditions though…
– it must be affordable
– i want to mainly observe the Moon, stars on the sky…perhaps some other planets too
– it should have good zoom (detailed) to actually see the Lunar surface
– it should be able to record video
hopefully you can find me something nice

If you’re interested in photography, the price will raise, as you’ll need a powered equatorial drive, which will counter the earth’s spin. Otherwise your best hope for a relatively inexpensive telescope would be to go for a used dobsonian telescope. Dobsonians give you the most bang for the buck. Just google it.
Answer #9
A Dobsonian would be the best. Check out the Orion SkyQuest XT8 Classic. It should be running for around $330. You can also pay $200 more for the same telescope but computerize, that will help you pinpoint up to 14,000 astronomical objects.
