My LCD keeps blinking instead of automatically turning off

January 24th, 2020

I’ve noticed that my new LCD, sometimes, instead of shuting off after 10 minutes, starts blinking on and off.
Why is that and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Answer #1
What brand LCD is it?
Answer #2
SAMSUNG SyncMaster 920N
Answer #3
Hmmmm, maybe it’s a problem with your VGA cable or card? Have you checked them?
Answer #4
?… I don’t know, but I don’t think it happened with my previous screen (but it was a CRT).
Answer #5
I assume you have the manual, does it mention anything about your problem in there?
If you don’t have it, I found it at:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Samsung-920N-Monitors-manual/id/278ci771/t/2/
And it’s completely brand-spankin’ new? Hopefully it isn’t the inverter, but if it is, I think repair shops cost like $80 to repair, but the monitor comes apart fairly easily and if you’re comfortable, they only cost like $20-30.

I don’t think I have it, and looking in manuals on the computer can be pretty anoying when it has a lot of pages.
And it’s not exactly new. I don’t know how old it is, but I replaced my old one with this because it wasn’t in use with another computer.
But I don’t think it happens always.
