How to get screenshots from a video file

So i feel dumb but how do i make a nice screenshot collection of video from movie or tv show i have? Thanks in advance for your help.

I use VLC, a i pause movie on a scene a then i go to Video a click Snapshot.

The best solution would be downloading VLC. Then go to Video->Snapshot. It’s that easy.

Don’t get those storyboard gallery type image grabbers. Put up full sized images. One with a dark scene a one with a bright one. Don’t put up images that might spoil the movie/episode.
