Screenshots from video

August 5th, 2016

Is there an app that lets you take a screenshot from a video while watching it on your favourite player (media player classic for example) preferably with a single hotkey? so it won’t interrupt me from watching the movie and in the end i’ll have the screenshots i want.

Media Player Classic can do that, actually. Try hitting F5 (function button). It saves a screen shot to your ‘My Pictures’ or ‘Pictures’ folder (depending on your OS, XP in the former and Vista/7 in the latter) with the same file name as the video.
Hope this helps. Cheers!

Alt + I works fine too, but it pops up a dialog asking where the file should be saved to.

In VLC media player also it works fine… and it supports numerous types of files as well.. so, it will be easy to play and take snap shots…
