Where are Firefox’s Bookmarks Files Located?

February 5th, 2020

I need to backup my bookmarks before i install a new copy of xp, someone tell me where they are located, so i can get them back later
Answer #1
at the top, click: bookmarks => manage bookmarks => import and backup
Answer #2
Start menu > run (or Vista startbox) type “%appdata%” without quotes
In the directory back up the Mozilla folder there. Why backup just bookmarks. Backup everything!
If you want to specifically get the bookmarks only go into \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default and copy over the bookmarks.html file.
Answer #3
Click on the Bookmarks button on Menu bar and select Organise Bookmarks…
Click Import and Backup > Export HTML and save to where you want.
Reinstall XP and do the same thing in Firefox but choose Import HTML from wherever you saved the file and all your bookmarks will be back.
Or use Mozbackup to backup all you bookmarks, settings and addons, use it again after installing xp to reinstate the backup.
