January 25th, 2020

Hi there, I just installed Ubuntu and Want to get higher resolution. But I can’t get it as I want to set the monitor type first. I noticed that there is no such menu as Screen and Graphics to set the monitor resolution. At first I tried adding that menu from menu editor, It wasn’t there. Then I tried running the following command, gksudo displayconfig-gtk
Still it doesnt show’s the setting window. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I have nVidia graphics card and I have activated it.
nvm, I solved the problem. For those who are looking for the solution, I did the following things.
1. Opened nVidia Xserver Configuration from Administration or Preferences.
2. Made setting about resolution.
3. Saved the xorg.conf file to desktop.
4. Opened original file using sudo.
5. Replcaed contents of that file with the file on desktop.
6. Restart.
