(SOLVED)Graphics Design OR Networking
August 23rd, 2013
I wanna start something new in my life and im having some probs choosing between Graphics Design and Networking. Nowadays which one is more demanding in the IT sector?
Which one wud u recommend and why. Help plz!
thnxxx
Demanding is a relative term. I suck at maths, I’ve never been able to intuit the principles as I have done with other subjects. This means that I’ve flipped off a former aspiration to study physics (mainly because I was too lazy to put in any modicum of effort).
The point is, the two subjects are rather different. Graphics design (which is very competitive – be warned) relies on drawing, visual-spatial and creative skills. Networking will rely on programming and thus logic and mathematics. People are skilled at different things, so I’d recommend choosing the option that you feel you’re most suited for, and most passionate about.
So for me, I’d choose networking; I also suck at drawing.
both are competitive fields. however networking relies a small part on programming but rather the theory of how information is passed through ethernet.
either way you go, try your hardest or dont try at all.
adidus,
I would go networking, it’s a better job, especially if you can pick up a network administrators job somewhere.
it’s a lot more stable than doing fleeting graphic design work, though it is less creative.
It really all depends, as other people said, on what you want to do, or are better at.
If you want to get into a field and you suck at it, it’s going to show and they won’t want you.
