What is the name of this computer case part.

August 28th, 2013

My case has a screwless design when it comes to the 5.25 bays. I need more of the little things on the side of the drive. But I dont know what those things are to look them online. Anyone know the name of it.

Those are tool-less mounts, they don’t really sell those things as each case is a bit different.
Just get some thumb screws.
Answer #2
I have never bought screws for a case. Is the size for the screw just called a thumbscrew and can I buy these thumbscrews at a certain length.
Answer #3
Thumb screws don’t require a Phillips screw driver to screw in.
You use your fingers so its called a Thumb screw.
Its the way to go if you want tool-less, I don’t see the point of having tool-less unless you require special needs.
Your not going to change hardware all the time I assume.

Those are rails, you usually see em for HDD but might get some directly from the case manufacturer if you contact them.

You might be able to find some on E-bay (although chances are most will be Dell, Fuji and IBM ones)
