Windows 7 cursor jumps all around

August 7th, 2016

So I got this brand new laptop at work with Windows 7 pro edition. The cursor jumps all around while typing..but most of the times to somewhere earlier on the typing line. It’s very difficult to work with this problem. Does anyone here face such problem with Windows 7? Strange I didn’t see any post on this topic.
Answer #1
Are you using an optical mouse with it ? They still need their sensors cleaned
Answer #2
Sounds like the touch pad is active while you type and you might hit that while typing? I had that problem earlier on a laptop, but found the problem to be in the touch pad settings. I think it was called “palm sensitivity” or something like that. I actived it, and the problem was gone.
