My cursor keeps jumping to other places while typing

I have an Asus 1000he
You know that problem where you’ll be typing a message and thenrsor is somewhere all of a sudden your cu
err see it just happened!
That problem where you’ll be typing a message and then all of a sudden what your typing starts appearing midway in a sentence 3 sentences above etc? I know it’s caused by my palm hitting the trackpad while typing and moving the cursor to somewhere else.. but I already have dising able while key
there it goes again, three times in one message christ
i already have disable while keying clicked on
im not even sure it’s a trackpad problem since my mouse is way below where I’m typing right now

i’m not sure if you said it was or wasn’t your wrist hitting the trackpad, but you can try this software, it disables your trackpad when you are typing. http://code.google.com/p/touchfreeze/downloads/list

THanks I’ll try it but the elantech mousepad properties already has an option for it and apparently it doesn’t work

i’ve noticed on some older laptops if you put pressure on the wrist wrest (to the right and left of trackpad) it will act as a tap.

it happens to me too!
but im on a desktop using firefox!

like i go to google and start typing and then it flashes (normal) and then i start my phrase from the start…..

This happens constantly on my laptops, one of the main reasons I don’t use them..
I don’t know what would cause it on a desktop…. Sticky Mouse buttons maybe? *Not software config, literally, the mouse buttons are sticky.. clean them? haha*

My dad was actually having this sort of problem. Have you tried just plugging in a regular PS2 mouse and see if it still happens then?

I had the problem, I got the latest driver and it had an option to disable the laptop pad when a mouse is connected.

No PS2 on laptops but with a USb one it happens a lot

There is a special button on your laptop whis is ment to be able to disable your touchpad (in combination with a special function button)

Yes I know that. But your laptop definitely has that function. You just gotta find the right one. It helps if you post a screen of your laptop.
