“Dead pixel” question

Hi, I just have one question about “Dead pixel”.
First – I’m not sure if I have dead pixel at all, How can I find out it is dead or not.
If it is “dead pixel” – Should I worry about it. – That’s the only question I have.
Location: Top left corner. White one
Also, I can see it only when I can see my desktop background.
If I open some movie I can’t see it, anything else I can’t see it……

I’m sure I’ve already saw it before, but then I would just Refresh my screen and it would be gone, but here it is, it doesn’t go away.
Can long PC Up Time cause this.

You can try your chances with www.jscreenfix.com/
Otherwise, you can try opening your screen, and from the back side, with a screwdriver (with a rubber holder) rub the area where the dead pixel is.

the jscreeenfix may work but its probably just old monitor/laptop and its how she goes…i have a 8 year old powerbook g4 and the screen has white areas near the corners ive tried everything…lucky you only have a lil spec mine is like area that are white…jscreenfix can only do so much its LCD it breaks down over time

That idea – I know it already, but it is really Top Left corner and hard to reach….if I find something really small will try it.

Well, what to say – 4 and 1/2 years old.
At the end of year I’m planning to buy a new PC, I hope this will remain as it is now.
But as I said, it is weird because I see it only when I can see desktop background.
Should be that way or not….
