My Brand New Archos 504 Dead Pixel!

Hi I just recieved an archos 504 40gig hard drive media player for christmas, I watched about 10 minutes of my code monkeys and I noticed in the middle of the screen there was a dead pixel!!. Only 10 minutes of use and now theres a green dot in the middle of my screen. what should I do?

try rubbing it to reactivate it. It isn’t dead, it’s stuck. There is also a video file that flashes between R G and B. try using that. If those fail, phone the shop/archos.

tell the person that gave it to you about it and ask them for the recipt to retun it ??

get a new one. i have successfully returned a new tv after discovering a dead pixel.
