Help me unlock a Blackberry please!

Ever since I became a member of my friends saw the things I do with/ to computers as magical. When smartphones came out and I was able to get apps for free and stuff I was seen as a technology God of some sort even though all I do is just follow instructions shown here by the true experts.
My friend came to me with a problem a few days ago.
He recently bought a Blackberry Bold 9780 but upon switching it on he was asked for an MEP code or something. When he got it he had 10 chances. His brother thought he knew what it was and proceeded to waste all 10 tries
He now has the correct MEP code but unfortunately he has no more tries to input the code, what should I do!? (I will give credit to you and he shall become eternally grateful to you, not me ) I thank you in advance!

that phone is now hardlocked you need to find a shop that offers DM3 Unlocking in order to reset it.
They will need to physically access the device via the USB port but wont be cheap
edit you can also try this, again its not free – there is no free solution

He has the code but unfortunately he has run our of tries to input the code. Is there absolutely no free way to fix it?

as hell boy has stated, its hardlocked and again its not free - there is no free solution
i think unfortunately there is no free alternative

Could you guys recommend a service to fix this please? Can the phone be fixed remotely or am I going to have to send my phone to wherever they work?
