Defragmenter problem

First, my favorite diskeeper 2011 has “MMC could not create snap-in” error, forcing me to install perfectdisk. However, perfectdisk come out error 0xc000007b, and force me to install previous version of diskeeper 2010. Installing diskeeper 2010 is fine, but during opening the keygen, it only wants pro premier version, and not giving me key and activation code. Finding ancient diskeeper 2010 pro premier.exe is tough and all links died. Enough bragging. I would like to ask is there any other defragmenter that can defrag my win7 64 bit when idle? Even windows default defragmenter is enough. But windows default defragmenter schedule is set a time and date. I would like to make it defrag when idle, not during certain time on certain day.
The most important is defrag when idle. Pls help.

In Windows Vista, and newer versions, because defragmentation happens automatically so you have no need to worry about it.

Newer diskeeper 2012 also give diskeeper service could not start in a timely fashion sort of that error. Try O&O Defrag it works perfectly.I tried o&o, but it seems does not defrag for me automatically when idle, just the icon sit there
If there’s anyway that windows scheduler can perform defrag when idle, that’s good enough too, but how to do that? I din’t see option to perform defrag when idle at task scheduler.

Defragler has a “start when idle” option, but it doesn’t stop if you start using the computer.
It was designed for when you leave the computer and have dinner, for e.g., according to their forum.

Well i din’t notice it. By the way, I found some old version diskeeper installer, with working crack, install it and works fine, even though some features are missing. Thanks for d feedback, much appreciate.

It might be a ‘hidden’ feature because it’s not quite working properly (when the computer goes out of idle it stays running).

To anyone who have same problem with me, can try “Auslogics Disk Defrag ScreenSaver”, which I find very useful and no nonsense. I used it when I disable diskeeper because diskeeper keep fragmenting ‘razer surround 7.1’ software audio convert, causing heavy fragmentation on drive.
