No Sound

Thanks for taking the time to look at this.
I recently installed a fresh copy of win 7 x64 pro and everything works fine except the sound.
I installed all the drivers and it still shows the sound icon crossed on the tray.

what make is the comp and can try work out what driver ya need then

I did that and installed the driver,but still nothing.
It says the driver is the right one,but it just isnt working.
Any other suggestions?
Should i try reinstalling windows?

might be ur sound card could be busted and need replacing even if it shows up that its there could try that and see

So you’ve been using another OS and the sound was working just fine ?
Try Deleting/Uninstalling the sound driver and reboot you system and see if Windows will find a driver or ask you to install one .

Thanks…will try uninstalling first.If it doesnt work ill try replacing the sound card.
