Monitor Goes To Sleep

My monitor goes to sleep after just a few minutes inactivity. I have gone to Power Settings and chosen Never, and I do not use a screen saver. I have updated the drivers for my Geforce 8500 GT card and for my monitor. But still the silly thing shuts off, sometimes when I am in the middle of reading an email. Any suggestions please?

Setting to “Never” should be enough to work. Have you tried restarting your system?

Remove the G.Card and Check, facing this same problem or not.
