Disabling sleep light mac

Hey, im running snow leopard on my mac and was wondering if there is any way to disable the sleep light that goes off (you know dim then bright and so on all night). I googled it and just got useless answers (cover it, turn off the pc, break with a hammer, random stupid ~love~).
I was hoping somebody knew of an app, terminal command, or some hidden system prefrence thing that disables the light.

Its just annoying when youre trying to sleep, it wouldnt be bad if it was bright or dim just the constant changing is terrible in a dark room at night.
