DvdReMake Pro alternative

February 2nd, 2020

Hello
DvdReMake Pro software has been around for a few years, are there any other up to date software that can add two films + menus onto one disc?
Thanks

The standard has been ConvertXtoDVD. It doesn’t decrypt but that’s what AnyDVD is for
Answer #2
which is not what he’s asking. CXD method loses all original menu’s and encodes the titles with its own method. DVD Remake doesn’t. It keeps the original menu’s intact but adds it own on top.
Root menu (<== created by dvd remake pro)
–title 1 (links to original menu of dvd 1)
–title 2 (links to original menu of dvd 2)
inserting the disc and starting playback takes you to the root menu created by dvdremake. Picking title 1 in this case then in turn takes you to the original menu of the first combined dvd where you can pick all settings, audio, which title to play etc.
You can’t do that with CXD
Answer #3
Well you can do it, but it’s not as simple. Create menus & chapters, cut videos, total customization with live preview
Answer #4
not with CXD you can’t. Yes you can cut video’s, edit subtitles etc and “import” the original DVD’s but CXD slaps on it’s own menu. DVDRemake doesn’t, it keeps the original menu structure from BOTH dvd’s INTACT (incl layout) and adds it’s own on top.
Kind of like
DVDRemake Menu
— Disc 1 (menu link, takes you to entry below)
—-DVD 1 original menu
——-title 1.1
——-title 1.2
——-title 1.3
— Disc 2 (menu link)
—-DVD 2 original menu
——-title 2.1
——-title 2.2
With CXD its
CXD menu
–title 1.1
–title 1.2
–title 2.1
–title 2.2

You can actually add chapters on the video, but you have to it manually. It doesn’t import the structure from the dvd itself unfortunately.
It is an option, but whether it’s a good one or not depends on how much effort you want to spend on it
Answer #6
and again not what he’s talking about.
software that can add two films + menus onto one disc
Nowhere does it say anything about creating chapters. OP wants to keep the entire structure + menu’s and afaik DVDRemake is the only thing that can do it. Use CXD and you lose all structure and menu’s.

That is directly from the website. I did a quick install and yep, you can create your own chapters, but it does not import the structure – you have to create it.
Anyhow, it is one option for the OP. Did you have alternative in mind? I would be interested myself actually
Answer #8
Looks like that DvdReMake Pro is unique and pretty good for the job..
Seeing as DVD technology hasn’t changed for years, then it should still be as good as ever.
Answer #9
There are several programs to choose from but we must know exactly what you wish to accomplish to provide a proper answer.

have used this software in the past, and was able to construct all above in quote. Did you have alternative in mind? I would be interested myself actually
There are several DVD authoring tools – DVDStyler, you can create/design your own DVD menu, (easy to use)

Looks that way, just like DVDShrink another unique software and free

A software that will combined two DVDRips with menus onto one disc? Keeping the original video files and menus.
Answer #12
Well if DVDRemakePro does the job for you, don’t change it. Even DVDShrink can do a simple merging. If you want real re-authoring you can go as far as using a video editor to do what you want, again it depends of what your expectations of the final result are. Anyway, have a look at TMPGEnc Authoring Works, it can give you a decent final product and a lot of aesthetic options.
Answer #13
TMPGEnc Authoring great bit of kit.
