Rapidshare alternative

June 5th, 2019

My RapidPro account has expired and I was just about to renew it. Then I noticed that most uploaders tend to use different servers these days, plus since “the change” I don’t think I am getting value from RS.
I have looked around a fair bit and I think I might try Hotfile instead.
Is this a good choice? What are people mainly using these days?
Sorry if this is a tired topic – I did a search and found some info but opinions on this seem to change on a weekly basis.
Thanks.

Fileserve/Hotfile/Megaupload are the ones being used more. Smile

megaupload, Fileserve is good….

Thanks for the info chaps. I was just about to pay for a Hotfile subscription but then got the fear! Will my “monthly payment” be a single, one-off affair, or is there some hidden T&C text that means I will get locked in for a year? I obviously would like to try for one month before committing and you know how dodgy some of these companies can be…

I just found this on their site:
“When you subscribe to a Hotfile plan, your payment method will automatically be set up for monthly recurring billing for your convenience – without having to always manually send money”
Oh, how considerate of them! Scratch HF off my list then…

Fileserve Hotfile or Megaupload

It would appear that they all set up a monthly direct debit from paypal. I don’t want to commit to that! I bet it is a total pain to cancel as well. Is there anyone who doesn’t do this?

I extend my megaupload premium with points and no Paypal.
