canon Pixma MG5320 Printer through a router

i have a canon Pixma MG5320 Printer currently connected to my computer running windows 7
I’m about to hook up a linksys wireless router with my win 7 box hardwired and a laptop running Windows 8.1 connecting wireless.
I want to access my printer through the router, but the windows 7 box will be hardwired and the laptop will be wireless.
What’s the best way to accomplish this?

share the printer from win 7 and add the printer from win 8 and look for the connection name when adding the printer from the Add Printer screen in Control Panel
