[solved] Windows 10: Data Usage from last 30 days

January 21st, 2020

Wondering if this feature can be disabled. I don’t need it and don’t care.
Also wondering, if the usage is high does win10 tell on us?

Euhm, he’s not asking to disable windows update. He’s asking if the data usage tracker alone can be disabled.

I don’t see how that applies to the “Data Usage” feature? [Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage]
your comment wasn’t here when I replied. I’ll check the article.
[EDIT]
I’ve had those services and privacy settings disabled early after installation.
Data Usage is still monitored in win10.

I haven’t given up and thought i was on to something after finding this…
Task manager > app history > delete usage history

By “Data Usage” I am referring to this location [Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage] http://thewindowsclub.thewindowsclubco.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Network-settings-Windows-10-3.jpg
Can the counter be disabled? If not, how about reset? I’m starting to think it’s not, at least for now anyway.

30 Days have gone by that win10 has been installed and I’ve noticed it has not reset the Data Usage from last 30 days.

Buggy. For example, optical drives disappear after upgrading from Windows 7. Still, it has potential.
Answer #11
I will mark this as solved for now and consider this a win10 glitch. Today I checked and the data usage is now at 0 and not being monitored.
