Which flash cart should I buy for 3DS?

January 12th, 2014

So I bought a 3DS and updated the firmware when I opened the box. It was updated to firmware version 2.1.0-4. I thought that it would be awesome to be able to play all of the NES, SNES, GB, and GBC games on the 3DS and, therefore, bought a CycloDS iEvo. I found out a little before getting it in that it does NOT support the LATEST firmware (2.1.0-4).
Well, Team Cyclops (the maker of the card) doesn’t seem to be updating their forums about whether or not they’re working on an update (several months now), and their home site seems to have been down for days. There’s rumor that they’re working on a chip for the 360 now.
My question is this:
Which flash cart is best for my 3DS and the firmware installed? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the R4’s and the Acekards and the DSTWO’s… so which one?
Thanks for your help community!
P.S. – I don’t know anyone else with a different version of a DS, so if takes putting the flash cart in a different version of the DS and changing the format before being able to use it in my 3DS, I can’t do it.
