Answer #1
Go to your domain name control panel, and edit the name server’s. Then you will have a spot to enter the name server provided by your hosting account.
Answer #2
I’m not able to add IP as name server.

Answer #3
If you have an IP you need do an A record in the DNS settings.
Answer #4
Your hostname (xxxxxxxxx) could not be resolved to an
IP address. This means that /etc/hosts is not set up correctly,
and/or there is no dns entry for xxxxxxxxx. Please be
sure that the contents of /etc/hosts are configured correctly, and
also that there is a correct ‘A’ entry for the domain in the zone
file.
Some or all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf
being setup incorrectly. Please check that file if you believe
everything else is correct.
You may be able to automatically correct this problem by using the
‘Add an A entry for your hostname’ option under ‘Dns Functions’ in
your Web Host Manager.
Answer #5
So what exactly is going on? You have a domain name registered at name com, I get that part. Now I assume you have purchased a hosting account somewhere else. Did the hosting account not provide you with name server’s for you to attach to your domain?

Answer #10
I might be able to help mate. I’m also with Knownsrv (VPS). PM me your MSN
Answer #11
:I am AWESOME: replied: knownsrv
Well, the nameserver’s should be:
NS1.KNOWNSRV.COM
NS2.KNOWNSRV.COM
NS3.KNOWNSRV.COM
NS4.KNOWNSRV.COM

If these name servers do not work, send their technical support an e-mail, or give them a call and ask them. This information should also be provided to you via the web hosting control panel or in their support docs.

Why in the world would you delete your question after its solved. Now if someone has the same question they’ll have to make a whole new thread, I dont understand why some people do this : (

You say this as if people actually know how to use the search button. lol
For example. just take a look at how many “What is the best AV?” topics their are – or how many “How to play copied xbox 360 games” … I’m sure you get my point. Nobody can be bothered to search for an answer or use Google for that matter – They’d rather ask the question AGAIN in a new topic.
Unless the Mods make some changes, It’s just not gonna happen is it.
