Problem playing video files in windows Vista

November 1st, 2013

I can generally play video files in VLC but after a few hours VLC won’t play video files. It will open and show the first frame then only audio will play vlc will play the video file like an audio file without any picture but only audio.
Curiously I can play video in media player classic that comes with the community codec pack.
The problem goes away after I restart and then resurfaces after a few hours.
I have reinstalled my video drivers , vlc but problem still persists.
Dell 1525, Windows V. 2 gb ram.

Try preferences –>video–>output module there first check advanced options and then change the module to opengl , or maybe the codec is not supported by VLC .
Answer #2
