Youtube and jdownloader software questions

August 23rd, 2013

hi, can someone please tell me if jdownloader has the option to pause and resume downloads from youtube? (meaning you can resume them after the pc has been restarted)
also does it save directly to the hdd as a .mp4 file or does it go thought a converting process?
does it have the option to put a proxy ip into the settings of the software to bypass the protection for videos that say “this video is not available in your country”?
thank you

do the downloads go thought a converting process? i tried some other software that download from youtube it it went thought a long converting process as the vids i want to save will be around 2gb each and my pc is old and too slow for converting videos

As you know, most of the public proxies keep log from who use it, but it’s not likely they will steal your data, but they definitely can reach you.
After the download is complete, the file is converted but it is pretty quick, so you don’t have to worry about that.
