XBOX 360 update help!

I wanted to play some of my old XBOX 1 games but cant because my 360 dusnt support them, so microsoft have this….

I was wondering if this will effect my flashed XBOX 360 and stop it from working properly?

i have a flashed 360 and used the compatibality discs a few times with no issues, as far as i am aware they just add support for the xbox titles, rather than any critical dashboard updates.
