Xbox 360 question about downloading dlc on other xbox

I don’t want to go online with my modded xbox. But I want to download a DLC. Can I borrow my friends unmodded xbox, to download the DLC onto my Hard-disk (120 Gig) and put it back on my modded xbox when finished? Or when you download, it’s only to be used on the xbox you’ve downloaded it from? Thanks for any replies.

It will only work for the console you downloaded it on. Just go online with your Xbox, the worst they can do is stop you going online again but if you’re too scared to do that anyway it won’t be an issue.

you can go online with any firmware that is not the issue, the issue is you disks that you put into the console and how ixtreme handles them. If you have a bad stealthed disk then yes you will get banned no matter what firmware you are on even 1.6. But if the stealth is good you can be safe on live with even 1.4. Yes every new ixtreme add more security features to keep us safe on live, but it all comes down to the disk image we burn. I been online with my xbox since 1.5 when it was released back in 2008. I know many people that have used XBL and are still not banned and when they first modded there console the latest was ixtreme 1.3.
So yes you are safe to go online with 1.51, just make sure all you games are stealthed propley using abgx. Also if you are still worried connect to XBL but make sure there is no disk in the tray, M$ checks the disk when you connect to live and can do it at any moment while connected so if there is no disk then there is no reason to worry about the checks. After that you can disconnect from live and play offline.
