Xbox 360 open tray error and flashing

I have a 3 year old phat xbox 360 with open tray error, can anyone show me how to fix this and i also want to flash it, what do i need and how hard is it to flash?

It’s out of warranty so you can break the case open. A lot of the time that error is caused by laser breakdown over time in your disk drive, fix is to open it up and reset the resistance setting of your disk drive laser using the pot screws on laser housing and a multimeter.
If you check on you tube you will find a ton of how to vids. Word of warning ,when adjusting the ohms resistance adjust it in small increments, had one the other day that had jumped to 8.0 ohms, a tiny turn of the pot screw brought it down to the factory 3.4.
Also as long as you have the case open you may as well give it a thorough cleaning and thermal compound replacement. It will add years to your console if it’s never been overheated.

2..Do you have a spare sata cable an open sata spot on your computer motherboard
