Xbox 360 Hard Drive Upgrade

November 20th, 2013

I have just purchased a Western Digital 2.5 80gb Hard drive for my xbox 360. I have formatted the drive in windows to FAT32, however my xbox 360 does not recognise the HD when it’s connect using the 360 caddy, when i try to connect the Drive using external i’m only allocated 16gb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It needs to be formatted as Microsoft’s proprietary file system (FATX).

You need a hard drive security sector file that is slightly smaller or the same size as the drive your flashing and HDDhackr, it must be done via DOS using your PC’s sata connection.

I would only bother to flash 250GB WD drives as you get the maximum capacity.
80GB will only net you 60GB as you have to use that one.
After you done that mod, do not ever connect your hard drive to your computer ever again.
