xbox 360 hard drive {SOLVED}
August 4th, 2016
You can’t. There would need to be a proper modchip developed for the 360 to allow access to the hard drive. As it is at the moment, the 360 lets you play media (including DivX files now) from removable storage, such as CD, DVD and USB devices, but won’t let you copy anything onto its own hard drive.
There is a way of connecting the hard drive to your PC (it’s a 2.5″ laptop hard drive inside an enclosure), but it requires completely disassembling it and buying a kit to connect it to your PC, and even then there are very few things you can do with it – like copy save games and demos to and from it, but it will only work with things that are supposed to go on there (i.e. save games and demos).
That’s all as far as I know anyway. Check the forums at xbox-scene for all the information you could ever wish for on the Xbox and 360. If you want a decent media player get a modded original Xbox, put a large hard drive in it and install Xbox Meda Centre. Best thing ever.
bearing in mind that XBMC isn’t HD.
