Xbox 360 Elite LiteOn Flash

Hi people!
i bought an xbox 360 elite with date 27-07-09 with liteon drive.
its possible flash this drive without CK3 or something? i know some LiteOn dont requires ck3 , but how i know the version of my drive without open the console?
and its possible backup the firmware to restore some day if the console go to Micro$oft ?

its the date of manufacturing . its in the back of the Xbox
can you tell me what is in yours?

there is no way for sure to find out without opening ya xbox. the cloest way you can see without opening ya xbox is to go to:
http://www.360drives.com/list
fill in ya xbox info n see what other people have said their fimrware was.
the cloest to your xbox is:
http://www.360drives.com/list?v_mfrdate=2009-07-27&v_perpage=50
and he has the 83850C. so iam not 100% sure but iam sure u can flash 83850C drives by just using onboard sata or via vt6241 card to read the firmware then use freekey to extarct your drive key etc etc.

EDIT: maybe it is 83850C, but there are 2 versions of it. One works without additional hardware, and other dont work at all (for now). The only way to know way is trying to flash
