XBOX 360 Burned games

I burned about 10 or 12 in the passed 3 months. And then i just recent burnt tiger woods 10 but i pop it in and it shows as a DVD? I saw some other people complain about the same thing in other xbox 360 games threads and was wondering if something has cchanged or has anyone had this problem before because I dont want any more coasters.. I have ixtreme 1.5 i believe i think its still works.

I think it’s a wave free game mate so you might need to re-flash to 1.6 ixtreme. Does it play any other of the latest games?

ive only tried tiger woods because I dont want any more coasters like this one, so your saying I need to upgrade to 1.6 to play new region free games?

all the new games are wave3 (contain the new dashboard update)
because of this the layout of the dvd has changed and the older ixtreme firmwares don’t boot the new games
you can update your firmware to 1.6 (recommended) or patch the games to be able to play them on older firmware (when you don’t know how to upgrade your firmware)

Patching is not recommended though, since it makes you easy prey for Microsoft on Live.
And yeah, it’s most likely cause your flashed firmware is version 1.51 or something like that.

Pre-1.51 will not be able to play the newer games. As you’ve already burned it i think upgrading it is th best thing. Do you know how to do it.

No I dont know how, but its only 20 bucks to take it to the store where I got it done to get them to upgrade. So I think tha would problably be easier. Am I right? Considering I am someone who has never opened up my xbox 360 myself..

Depends on your drive. But if you don’t feel comfortable with opening and playing around with “risky” things, then you should take it to the store to get it upgraded.
