How to play burned Xbox 360 Games

August 6th, 2016

I’m kind of stuck on this one. I noticed that there is a section for Xbox 360 games on this forum, a lot of which I would love to play.
Do I need a mod chip or is there some kind of software I have to install on my 360?
Lastly, would enabling my 360 to play the videogames I download here void my warrenty?
Thank you for your time.

You need to flash your xbox dvd drive
heres a tutorial:

and yes, this will void your warrenty (you need to open up your xbox and remove the sticker)
Answer #2
If I buy a warrenty sticker from ebay and replace the old one after I flash the drive will my warrenty be intact?
Answer #3
depends on if they notice that you did that. Ie if the locking clips are loose. Otherwise your good.
Answer #4
I have heard of people using hair dryers and heat guns to take off their warranty stickers off without damaging them but to be honest I don’t see the point. If you do send it back to Microsoft they can still tell if you’ve flashed it, so if they find out you have then they will know you have opened it Also doing this and sending it back to Microsoft to get it fixed under your warranty would be warranty fraud
Answer #5
And what if the problem I sent the Xbox back for didn’t relate to the changes I made to the DVD drive, but the poor motherboard design that made it possible for connections to come loose when the system gets hot (to be expected from a videogame system)?
You say warrenty fraud, I say sweet sweet justice, my friend.
